Tuckers Island Shellfish Company is a family-owned and operated farm based out of southern Ocean County, New Jersey. Our goal is to responsibly curate locally grown, Jersey-fresh oysters while also reviving the local baymen culture and it’s surrounding estuaries. Our farms are environmentally-friendly, grown in the Barnegat Bay in southern New Jersey. The Barnegat Bay spans approximately 42 miles long and is fed by the fresh waters of the Cohansey aquifer as well as several other estuaries. These fresh water sources are integrated with the high salinity of the Atlantic ocean that flow through the Barnegat and Little Egg Inlets. The combination of fresh and salt waters are ideal for great tasting oysters.
